Ronald Dilgard

Ronald Krieg Dilgard, 74, of Street, MD and formerly of Garrett County, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Hart Heritage Estate Assisted Living Community of Street, MD. Born on July 1, 1941 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Roman K. and Ethel (Rinker) Dilgard. Ronald attended Southern Garrett High School and later graduated from Rockville Senior High. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served from 1959 until 1965. Ronald was also a supervisor with ARMCO Steel, and avid hunter and a member of the Gormania Presbyterian Church. He is survived by 2 sisters; Elizabeth Taylor and husband Elmer of Hanover, PA., and Jacqueline Hawley of Manheim, PA., and a brother; R. Victor Dilgard and wife Kathy of Oakland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elaine (Terlizzi) Dilgard and a brother, Frederick Dilgard. Friends and family will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 Noon after which time a funeral service will be held. Interment, with military honors, will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
