Roger Lee Savage, 65, of Oakland died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 11, 1949 in Confluence, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert William and Mildred Leona (Amos) Savage. He worked as a carpenter for Wood Products in Oakland. Roger was a very outgoing man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, reading and animals, especially his dogs. He is survived by two daughters, Tracey Lynn Dorko and husband Kenneth of Overland Park, KS and Tina Wetor and husband Ryan of Hudson, FL; five grandchildren, Paige Dorko, Vincent Dorko, Leah Wetor, Alexander "AJ" Wetor and Caleb Wetor; three sisters, Patricia Bowser of Oakland, Wanita "Jean" Coffman of PA and Thelma McClintock of FL; and a brother, Gilbert A. Savage of KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Denny and Hugh Savage. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1050 W. Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
