Roger Reckart

Roger Ray Reckart, 37, of Oakland died on Friday, January 25, 2013 as the result of a fire at his home. Born on May 6, 1975 in Cumberland, he was the son of Elmer L. and Mamie C. (Poling) Reckart of Oakland. He worked as an arborist. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Derek Cody Reckart and Michael Ray Reckart, both of Oakland; two brothers, Robert Reckart and wife Rebecca of Kitzmiller and Rodney Reckart and wife Amanda of Crellin; a number of aunts and uncles; three nephews; and four nieces. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, January 29th from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Dr. Chip Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roger may be made to the M&T Bank, Main Office, Green and Third Streets, Oakland, MD 21550.
