Rodger Evans

Rodger Wayne "Tadpole" Evans of Kitzmiller went home to heaven on July 22, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Born on July 4, 1962 in Oakland, he was the son of Rodger and Donna (Harvey) Evans. He was an employee of Beitzel Corporation in Grantsville for 18 years. He attended the United Methodist Church in Kitzmiller, where he came to know and love the Lord with all of his heart. He was a loving husband, father, son, uncle and a great friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Tammy (Secrist) Evans; three daughters, Miranda Louise Evans and fiance' Michael Richardson, Mikayla Cheyenne Evans and Autumn Brooke Evans; three brothers, Bill Evans and friend Julie Athey, John Evans and Richard Evans and wife Peggy and their children, Justin and Christina; mother-in-law, JoAnn Secrist; brother-in-law, Mick Warnick and his children, Jessica and fiance' Mitch Gank, and David Warnick; also a number of nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his much loved sister, Kandy Warnick, who passed away in 2007 from cancer. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A, 710 Church St, Kitzmiller, on Tuesday, July 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM and Wednesday, July 25th from 10 AM to noon, at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastors Angie Cosner, Matthew Paugh and Russell Liller officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cindy's Fund, PO Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550.
