Robert Schulz, Esq., 92, of Canaan Valley, passed away on September 29, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side. Born on December 13, 1931, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Otto and Gertrude Schulz.
Bob's parents immigrated from East Germany, making him a first generation American. He did not learn the English language until entering kindergarten in Chicago Public Schools. After high school, he served as a police officer in Chicago while attending college. Bob excelled through Chicago Kent School of Law and practiced as a criminal defense attorney for 45 years. He was also a member of the Army National Guard for 38 years where he served as a Lt. Col. Judge Advocate. He was protestant by faith. Bob enjoyed sailing, boating, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Dale Elton Schulz, and his son, Christopher Schulz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Erick Schulz.
Mr. Schulz's request for cremation was honored. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
