Robert Moats

Robert C. Moats, 78, of Aurora, was born on September 23, 1940 and died on Friday, July 12, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruby J. (Cummings) Moats; a son, Randy Moats and wife Candy of Grantsville; a grandson, Tyler; a brother, James (Charis) Moats of Wellsburg, WV; and two sisters, Ruby Moats Kempfer of Aurora, WV and Helen Cohen of Tuscon, AZ, and many loved family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ward & Dove (Simmons) Moats; six brothers, Bill, Samuel, Richard, Earl, Marshall, and Ward; five sisters, Cindy, Rachael, Genevina, Edith, and Charlene. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working outside, and working on puzzles. Robert loved spending time with children and giving them candy. He appreciated learning about the bible and enjoyed watching western movies. Friends will be received at the Aurora Memorial Building on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 10:30-11:30 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Daniel A. Thomas officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Ridge on Limestone Road. Arrangements have been entrusted to the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland.
