Robert Colin Miller, Sr. "Bob", 74, of Swanton, MD went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD. Born on January 19, 1942 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Curtis Creighton Miller and Marguerite Beckman Miller Wotring. Bob was a graduate of Southern High School and Potomac State College. He retired from the Westvaco Fine Papers Mill having worked for over 40 years. He was a devoted father and husband. He attended Sunday services at the Meadow Mt. Mennonite Church. Bob loved spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger. He was always bragging about his children and grandchildren. He is survived by four children, Tracey Sweitzer and husband Dave, Colin Miller and wife Leigh, Chip Miller and wife Beth, all of Oakland and Chelsea McWhorter and husband Daniel of Ozark, AL; grandchildren, Rachelle and Ryan Sweitzer, Brant and Jenna Miller, Sarah, Lacey and Lindsey Miller, Audrie and Allison McWhorter; and one great grandchild any day now. Bob is also survived by one brother, Curt Miller and wife Judy; a sister, Barbara Miller; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Friends will be received at C & S Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Ron Beiler and Rev. Don Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Swanton. Memorial donations may be made to the WVU Cancer Institute, Garrett Regional Medical Center, 251 N 4th St. Oakland, MD 21550.
