Robert Lee Helmick, 73, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He was born December 14, 1944 in Thomas, WV a son of the late Glenn and Norma Ruth Helmick. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Toni Markley Helmick, Three sons, Robert Scott (April) Helmick, Kevin Helmick, and Christopher Wade Helmick, four grandchildren, Kaila Alexandra, Courtney Lynn, Dixie Ann, and Michael Helmick, four brothers, Glenn David, Daniel Ray, Terry Lynn, and Jeffrey Dale. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Yvonne.
Bob was a graduate of Mountaineer High School. He worked at Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD for 32 years.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home Wednesday, November 1, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 am, Thursday, November 2, at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev.
