Robert Getz

Robert Steven Getz "Steve", 64, of Mt. Storm, WV, passed away June 15, 2022, at his home. Born on February 8, 1958, in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Floyd and Irene (White) Getz.

Steve was a graduate of Union High School. He worked as a power plant operator at CERTS. He was a member of the Mt. Storm United Methodist Church. Steve loved to have a good time and enjoyed going on four-wheeler rides and hunting.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 16 years, Diana (Smith) Getz, whom he married on June 10, 2006. Also surviving is a son, Robert Getz II "Stevie"; two brothers, Peter Getz "Sonny" and wife Nancy of Bayard, Russell Getz "Bim" and wife Rene of Mt. Storm; a sister, Nadine Idelman of Mt. Storm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Getz.

Friends will be received, Monday, June 20, 2022, from 4 to 8 pm at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St. Kitzmiller, MD 21538. A funeral service will be held, 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Rebecca Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Rehobeth Cemetery. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Getz family.
