Robert William Flanagan, 78, of Elk Garden, WV died on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Piney Valley Nursing Home in Keyser, WV. Born on January 8, 1937 in Elk Garden, he was the son of the late Feaster and Leona (Seaman) Flanagan. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Flanagan had been a supervisor for the WV Department of Highways. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Keyser. He was a collector of clocks and enjoyed all things Irish as well as hunting and riding ATV's. He is survived by three children, Vicki Ward and husband Walter of Elk Garden, WV, Robert Flanagan II and wife Carol of Harrisonville, MO and Jacqueline Myers and husband Ed of New Creek, WV; five grandchildren, Kandace Lancaster of Inwood, WV, Samuel Ward and wife Ashley of Inwood, WV, Matthew Flanagan of Harrisonville, MO, Benjamin Myers and wife Valerie of Martinsburg, WV and Kathleen Myers of New Creek, WV; a sister, Clistine Flanagan and brothers, Daniel Flanagan and Allen Fadley and wife Bonnie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruby Gaye (Perando) Flanagan; a great grandson, Finnley Ray Myers; and a brother, Oliver Flanagan. Friends will be received on Friday, November 27th from 6 to 8 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 28th at 10 AM with Father William K. Matheny, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
