Robert Alan Conley, 64, of Eglon, West Virginia, passed away January 13, 2023, surrounded by his family at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on March 19, 1958, in Prince George's County, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas Wallace and Melva Jean (Hartsell) Conley.
Robert, fondly known as Bob, fought his battle with COPD and Congestive Heart Failure for four long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his children, made silly faces with his grandchildren, and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on the nurses. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed. Bob was known for being a man of all trades, if it was broken, he could fix it; he was a true Bob the Builder. Bob found himself surrounded by animals from feathers to fur, from house pets to livestock, he was an animal lover through and through.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; eight children, Steven and wife Kelly, Lisa and husband Justin, Jane, Joyce and husband Chris, Michael, Bobby, Cheri, and Patricia; eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Bentley, Kaden, Carter, Coleton, Wyatt, Christopher, Cassidy, Brandon, and Adam; and by man's best friend, his dog, Magic.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St. Oakland, from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM in the funeral home with Deacon Mary Sanders officiating. Following the service, Bob's wishes for cremation will be honored.
The C&S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Conley family at this time.
