Robert Leon Carr, 75, of Thomas, WV died Saturday April 22, 2017 at home after a long illness. He was born in Thomas, WV October 29, 1941 a son of the late Willis H. and Sylvia White Carr. Also preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Noah Carr and Charles Carr, 2 sisters, Ruth Mercante and Rosalie Ford. He is survived by his wife; Barbara Roush Carr, son; Robert Carr, Jr., step-son; Eric Roush, WV, four daughters; Tara (Steve) Lonberger, Virginia, Amanda (James) Spalding, Indiana, Rosetta Carr, Delaware, Anita Amorosa, Maryland, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Carr was a drywall finisher, painter and a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Thomas United Methodist Church and Mountain Top Hunt Club. He was a great outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received on Wednesday April 26 at Hinkle Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1:00 PM the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headly officiating.
