Richard Craver

Richard Lee "Peanut" Craver, 60, of Mt. Lake Park died on Friday, April 12, 2013. Born on September 9, 1952 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Doris M. (Shillingburg) Craver. He was a welder by trade and a true artist with his craft. He starting welding on submarines in Newport News, VA and worked for Allegany Welding for twenty years, during which time he worked on many special projects throughout the community. He was the proud owner of Craver's Custom Welding and Woodstove Repair. He was always ready to jump in and help whenever anything was needed and loved riding his Harley, no matter what the weather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and truly loved an adventure. He especially loved spending time with Timothy, Marshall and Patrick. He is survived by his soulmate, Karen Ball; two daughters, Emilee Craver of Somerset, PA and Melanie Craver of Honolulu, HI; a grandson, Timothy Uphold III; his buddy, Rudy, a sister, Amanda Louie and husband Keith of Deer Park; brothers, Harry Craver, Jr. "Bud" and wife Dora of Mt. Morris, PA, Charles Craver and wife Sonya of Oakland, Ronald Craver of Morgantown, WV, Roger Craver and wife Carol of Oakland, Kevin Craver and wife Tammy of Swanton and Brian Craver and wife Sandy of Deer Park; a number of nieces and nephews; and Karen's grandsons, Marshall and Patrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Mae Hill. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, April 15th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 16th at 11 AM with Rev. Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in George Cemetery, Swanton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
