Richard Cogley

Richard Allen Cogley, 53, of Oakland died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born on February 2, 1960 in Oakland, he was the son of Clarence "Hunk" and Carolyn (Savage) Cogley and Dorothy J. (Whitacre) Sines, all of Oakland. Richard had previously worked at Sterling Processing. He was an avid guitarist and loved fishing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Ronald Cogley, William H. Cogley and Franklin L. Cogley, all of Oakland; a step-sister, Tonya Priapi; a step-brother, Jimmy Hook; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 10th at 2 p.m. in the Deer Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Clarence Cogley, 400 Glade Square, Unit 10, Oakland, MD 21550 to assist with expenses.
