Reva Marie (Breedlove) Thomas, 95, of Oakland MD, passed away December 30, 2021, Cortland Acres, Thomas WV. She was born June 9, 1926, in Crellin, MD, a daughter of the late Clyde Wilson and Pearl Mae (Hinebaugh) Breedlove.
Reva was excused from high school to work to fill in for soldiers during WWII at Oakland Southern States and felt that was a true honor. Later, she went on to get her high school diploma. Reva was employed as secretary at the Maryland Cooperative Extension service until she retired, and was also involved in the homemaker's club and was a 4-H leader for many years. After retirement, she traveled extensively with family and friends, she loved vacationing every year with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. One of her favorite vacation places was Atlantic City and she continued trips there with her friends and her son into her 90's.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Thomas, Paul Thomas Jr., and Randy Thomas and wife Ramona; one daughter, Teresa Vandevender and husband Brian; eight grandchildren, Eric Thomas, Sara Elkas and husband Matt, Jordyn Thomas, Brody Thomas, Josh Partridge and wife Keilah, Jenna White and husband Pat, Chad Vandevender and companion Tai Cattafesta, Sydnee Vandevender and companion Ashton Shreve; 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas whom she married in 1948. Also preceding her in death six siblings, Cecil, Pearl "Jo", Vera, Arlie, Larry and Carl.
There will be a chapel service held at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Monday, January 3, 2022, at 12:00 pm with Pastor John Skipper officiating. We ask all those who are in attendance to wear a mask. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Thomas family at this time.
