Raymond Gordon Aronhalt, Jr., 81 of Mt. Lake Park, MD, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Garrett Memorial Hospital, Oakland, MD.
Born January 15, 1930 in Gormania, WV, he was the son of the late Raymond Gordon and Lona Bell (Vance) Aronhalt, Sr. Also, preceded in death by wife, Elsie Elizabeth (Otto) Aronhalt, son, Donald Aronhalt, sisters, Naoma Spiker, Mary Clatterbuck and Barbara Cobalt, grandson, Brian Aronhalt and granddaughter, Michelle Brown.
Raymond had been a delivery man working for Kelley's Appliance Store and Heck's in Oakland, MD and also worked for the B & O Railroad, Cumberland, MD.
Surviving are: son, Ronald Aronhalt, Mt. Lake Park, MD; daughter, Debbie Brown, Gormania, WV; grandchildren, Neil Aronhalt, Cody Aronhalt, Jennifer Harsh, Donnie Aronhalt, Eric Aronhalt and Ricky Lowdermilk; great-grandchildren-eleven.
A memorial service will be held at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel, 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold McMillan officiating.
At Raymond's request his body was cremated. Inurnment of his ashes will be at the Bayard Cemetery.
