Ray Leland Mosser, 93, of Oakland died on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his ancestral home near Red House. Born on October 2, 1922 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Ray E. and Anna (Miller) Mosser. He was a 1940 graduate of Oakland High School where he excelled in agricultural studies and mechanics. He was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Red House. He and his father, Ray, worked side by side on their dairy farm until Ray's death in 1983. Together they transformed the cow/horse stable into a milking parlor, added a silo and tractors to make the farm more productive. They loved working the land of their great grandfather, Jeremiah and Anna (Miller) Coffman. He is survived by his nephew Harold Harsh and wife Joanne; his niece, Gladys Anderson; and Harold and Joanne's five children, Thomas E. Harsh and wife Cathy, Harold R. Harsh, Jr. and wife Jana, Patricia L. Harsh, David T. Harsh and wife Darlene, and Theresa Anthony and husband Jeff. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, November 27th from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church of Red House on Saturday, November 28th at 2 PM with Pastor Regina Beard officiating. Interment will follow in the Red House Lutheran Cemetery.
