Quinter Royer Slaubaugh, 94 of Oakland, MD, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at his home.
Born September 27, 1916 in Eglon, WV, he was the son of the late Ezra & Martha (Buckalew) Slaubaugh. He was also preceded in death by his wife-Flossie Eileen (Foreman) Slaubaugh and sisters-Violet Bowser and Zelda Snyder.
Quinter had been a barber and a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are: son-Eugene Slaubaugh and wife, Susan, Adelphia, MD; sisters-Geraldine Armentrout and Nellie Kaminski; grandchildren-Richard Slaubaugh and wife, Amanda, Raleigh, NC, Cheryl Wetzel, Thurmont, MD; great grandchildren-Shawn Brice and Dalton Wetzel, Thurmont, MD and Samuel Slaubaugh, Raleigh, NC.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren, 110 Church Lane, Mt. Lake Park, MD with Carl Fike officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to service.
Interment will be in the Eglon Cemetery.
