Priscilla Wolfe

Priscilla D. Wolfe, 96, of Oakland, passed away on October 28, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 22, 1928, in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Carl and Carrie Lou (Cayton) Bobo.

Priscilla graduated from Piedmont High School, and attended Cathermans Business School. She worked as a Secretary, and retired from the Garrett County School System. As a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, she was a dedicated volunteer not only for the church, but also for Garrett County Hospice. In her spare time, she also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Priscilla was a very loving, caring and selfless mother, grandmother and friend. Her kindness and giving were so very far reaching and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children; Andy Wolfe and wife Linda of Mt. Lake Park, B. Jean VanMeter of Barrackville, WV, Terry Wolfe and wife Donna of Houston, TX, Mickey Wolfe and wife Loretta of Nanty Glo, PA, Camille Carrico and husband Gregory of Oakland; grandchildren, Karen Wolfe and partner Matthew Mounce, LaDonna Wolfe and partner Allan Mayes, Denise Ammons and husband Gary, MaryAnn Wolfe, Robin VanMeter and husband Chance Pascale, Tara Wilkins and husband Fred, Catlin Carrico and partner Trey Freeman, and Thaddeus Wolfe and wife Carley; six great grandchildren; and one great great grand daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Andrew Wolfe; an infant brother Vincent Bobo; a grandchild Autumn Carrico; and a son in law, Dale VanMeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Garrett County Hospice.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11 AM in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Pastor Mark Weeks officiating.
