Phillip Ray Fike, 83, of Aurora, passed away on August 23, 2024, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on August 31, 1940, in Larew, WV, He was the son of the late Wayne V. and Georgia Belle (Jackson) Fike.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Anne (Shaffer) Fike.

He was a 1958 graduate of Southern High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a driller and blaster at Buffalo Coal and later as a Journeyman Plumber for W.G. Welch. Phillip was a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren, the Aurora Volunteer Fire Dept., the American Legion, and the Elks Lodge. He was also a supporter of the Shriner's Children's Hospital and the Children's League.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, yahtzee, solitaire, and watching westerns. He especially loved time spent with his kids, grand kids, grand dog Ricky Bobby, and visits from Pastor Carl Fike and best buddy, Bill Duling.

He is survived by his children, Tammy Lewis and husband Brent of Redhouse and H. Scott Bowman and wife Valerie of Gerrardstown, WV; four grandchildren, Dustin Lewis, Kody Lewis and fiance Mattia Schrock, Ethan Bowman and Destiny Bowman; two great grandchildren, Rylee L. Lewis and Korbin K. Lewis; a sister, DeAnna Nacke and husband Edward of Arkansas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fike's wishes to be cremated was honored. Friends will be received on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 10 to 11 AM at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren. A celebration of life will be held for both Phillip and Barbara at 11 AM in the church with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
