Philip Ray Myers, 67, of Aurora, WV died May 7, 2017 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1950 in Aurora, WV a son of Harold Junior Myers and the late Mary Belle Neff Myers. He is survived by his former wife and loving caregiver, Katherine L. Myers, one son, Terry R. (Michelle) Myers, Oakland, MD, two daughters, Karla (Bill) Harman, Keyser, WV, and Karen (Roy) Wotring, Parsons, WV, two sisters, Margaret Mae (Albert) Snyder and Judith Ann (Andrew- deceased) Ryder, all of Virginia, grandchildren, Kimberly (Ricky) Wotring Wapkins, Allison L. Wotring, Alyssa Sisler, Terry R. Myers, Jr., Candace Myers, Jacob Secrist, Teddy Weasenforth III, Cory Weasenforth, and payton weasenforth, great grandchildren, Trinity Sisler, Alexis George, and Parker Weasenforth.
Mr. Myers served in the U.S. Army where he was a marksman, received numerous metals, and proudly served his country. He worked as a security guard for Camp Dawson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, and putting models together.
Friends will be received at Aurora United Methodist Church, Wednesday, May 10, from 11-2 PM, the funeral hour, with Rev. Cheryl George officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
