Pauline M. Savage, 83 of Oakland, MD passed away, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her home.
Born May 24, 1926 near Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Amy (Wilson) DeWitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley S. Savage; by two brothers, Guy and Marshall DeWitt; by three sisters, Maxine Sanders, Josephine Wolf and Geraldine Savage.
Pauline was a very talented seamstress. She loved making quilts and embroidering. She was a member of the Oak Park church of the Brethren.
Surviving are one son, Roger L. Savage and wife June of Ormond Beach, FL; one daughter, Marsha A. Deem and husband Carroll of Oakland, with whom Pauline resided; three grandchildren, Barry Savage of Friendsville, Melissa Snyder of Frederick, MD and Christopher Deem of Pittsburgh, PA; two step-grandchildren, Brandy Futch of Deland, FL, Brandon Beckman of Ormond Beach, FL; 1 great-granddaughter, Abbrielle Savage of Bruceton Mills; 2 step-great granddaughters, Vanessa and McKenzie Futch; one sister, Madeline Bouchard of Titusville, FL.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren with Carl Fike officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial donations to Hospice of Garrett County or the Oak Park Church of the Brethren.
