Paul A. Savage, 79, of Mt. Lake Park, MD, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his residence. Born August 7, 1932 in Friendsville, MD, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Mildred (Amos) Savage. Paul was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was currently employed at Varel International with more than thirty-five years of service and previously worked for Walker-McDonald. Paul was a former member of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post #71, Oakland, BPOE Elks Lodge #2481, Oakland and the Deer Park Sportsman's. He is survived by his wife, Loraine Savage; children, Julie Stemple, Jason Savage, Sherry Stillson, Ron Savage and David Savage; sisters, Patricia G. Bowser, Jean Coffman and Thelma McClintock; brothers, Roger L. Savage and Gilbert A. Savage; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; fifteen nieces and nephews; and twenty-five great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Hugh W. Savage and Denny E. Savage. At Paul's request his body was cremated and there will be no service. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland handled the arrangements. wwwburdockfredlockfh.com
