Paul Donaldson

Paul Evan Donaldson, 30, of Swanton died on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at home.  Born on May 1, 1987, in Silver Spring, he was the son of Darrell Paul Donaldson of Marathon Key, FL and Teresa Ann Donaldson of Rose Haven, MD.  Paul was an electrician's helper who worked for Heilig's Plumbing, Heating and Electrical.  He was a member of Crossroads Church and proud to have been recently baptized.  Paul had a great sense of humor, a kind heart and was a very hard worker.  He enjoyed fishing, hiking, music and spending time with his family.  Paul battled addiction and was very involved in AA and NA recovery.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Wallace Paul and Barbara Donaldson of Swanton and James and Anne Harmon of Prince Frederick; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by a brother, William Wallace Donaldson and a cousin, Samantha Gibson in whose memory Samantha Funding the Arts was created.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, October 19th from 5 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Crossroads Church, 17781 Garrett Hwy., Oakland on Friday, October 20th at 11 AM.  Private Interment will be in the Smithville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dunkirk, MD.  A luncheon for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 23rd at 1 PM in the Smithville United Methodist Church, 3005 Ferry Landing Rd., Dunkirk, MD 20754.
