Patricia Ann Stemple, 86, of Aurora, WV passed away September 13, 2017 at Dennett Road Manor, Oakland, MD. She was born March 7, 1931 in Aurora, WV a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Maxine Catherine Close Hauser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Charles Stemple in 2002. Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers; Jim Houser and Bill Hauser and 3 sisters; Bonnie Douglas, Dean Sisler and Mary Kelly. She is survived by 6 children; Daniel Charles (Elaine) Stemple, Keyser, WV, Thomas Wade (Billie) Stemple, Fairview, MI, Connie Sue (Joe) Fish, Greensboro, NC, Debra Ann (Jack) Kimble, Aurora, WV, John Richard (Patricia) Stemple, Morgantown, WV and Shelly Lynn (Jon) Welch, Morgantown, WV, 2 sisters; Doris Dennison, North Palm Beach, FL and Beverly Myers, Aurora, WV, 16 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
Patricia graduated from nursing school in 1974 and worked for WVU Hospital as an LPN and later she was employed at Hopemont State Hospital. She was a member of Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church and Stemple Ridge Ladies Aide. She enjoyed gardening, quilting with family and friends and going south with her husband in the winter months.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church and on Sunday, September 17, from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM, the funeral service hour, at Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Stemple Ridge Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneral home.com
