Patricia Ann Powles, 76, passed away November 10, 2010 at the Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident, MD.
Born December 6, 1933 in Smithsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lauren and Carrie (Recker) Benchoff. Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. "Jake" Powles.
Patricia was a Registered Nurse for over 25 years having worked at Washington County Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital and Garrett Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Oakland Lodge OES# 67 Eastern Star.
Surviving are: one son, Charles "Mark" Powles and wife Marti, North Richland Hills, TX; daughter, Lori L. Griffith and fiancAC.e, Conley Hardesty, Swanton, MD; one brother, John Benchoff, Hagerstown, MD; four grandchildren Becky Griffith Cline, Stefany Glotfelty, Jacob Powles, and Harley Glotfelty; four great-grandchildren, Brandon , Brianna, Brookelynn and Bryson Cline.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Friday, November 12, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. C. Scott Robinson officiating.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
