Patricia Broadwater

Patricia Ann Broadwater, 83, of Keyser, passed away on October 20, 2024, at Potomac Valley Hospital. Born on December 15, 1940, in Shaw, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ida Ellen Brown.

Patty was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. She was a devout lifetime member of the Methodist faith and longtime member of the Cross Community Church. She was a gracious, caring and loving woman, who was always smiling and helping others. A prime example of sharing God's love. Patty enjoyed gardening, feeding the wildlife, and admiring the deer and turkeys that would come into her yard. Although they would eat her garden, she would smile and say "Oh well, they have to eat too, Dwight will just have to plant extra next year."

She is survived by her son, Ronald Lynn Broadwater and wife Glenna of Augusta, WV; one grandson, Dustin Broadwater and partner Ashliegh Burroughs of Romney, WV; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Hanna Broadwater; a sister in law, Louise Poling; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dwight Broadwater; and her siblings, Jeckie Brown Pugh, Ida Darlene Keener, Mary Brown Heath, Pearl Brown Secrest, Frank Brown, Charles Brown, Denzil Poling, an Ralph Poling.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 5 to 7 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 12 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Mason officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery.
