Pamela Kay Eyler, 64, of Oakland died on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home. Born on August 8, 1950 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Russell A. and Betty L. (Cutright) Switzer. Prior to her retirement, she was an Instructional Assistant at Southern High School. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #2481 in Oakland and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post #71. Pam enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going on motorcycle rides. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dean M. Eyler; three sons, Shawn D. Eyler and wife Ranae of Hagerstown, Shane M. Eyler of Oakland and Steven R. "Beefy" Eyler and wife Dana of Bayard, WV; four grandchildren, Austin Eyler, Kalynn Eyler, Cody Eyler and Jeffrey Eyler; a sister, Barbara J. Steyer of Mt. Lake Park; and a niece and nephew, Chad Steyer and Cara (Steyer) Keller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell A. Switzer, Jr. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, November 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 12th at 11 AM with Pastor Dennis Caton officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
