Osborn C. Maule, 78, of Philippi, WV died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born on January 9, 1935 in Shaw, WV, a son of the late Walter E. and Catherine A. (Sommerville) Maule. Osborn spent several years working in a saw mill. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family. He is survived by his sisters, Gladys Stewart and Betty Murphy, both of Crellin; several nieces and nephews, Farris Maule of Oakland, Donald Stewart Jr. of Accident, Robert Thomas of Gormania, Linda Stewart of Oakland, Nancy Murphy of Crellin, Randy Murphy of Crellin, and James Murphy Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Minnie Shaffer, Joseph S. Maule, and James E. Maule; and a niece, Patty Tasker. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, June 17th from 9 to 10 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
