Norma Hinkle

January 8, 1928 — February 13, 2016

Norma Rea Hinkle, 88, of Oakland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 8, 1928 in Burk, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith (Sowers) Liller. She had attended the Apostolics of Oakland. She had worked in numerous restaurants in and around Oakland over the years and had also been employed by Community Action. Her greatest joys were being a wife and mother and spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann Hickey of McCoole; two sons, Roy "Olen" Hinkle, Jr. and wife Debby and James Allen Hinkle and wife Patricia, both of Oakland; grandchildren, Robert Hickey and wife Pyong, Michael Hickey and wife Jennifer, David Hickey and wife Jennifer, Roy Hickey and wife Amy, Kathryn Slagle and husband Vance, Lisa Hastmann and husband David, Nathaniel Hinkle and wife Melissa and Heather Hairston; great grandchildren, Brandon, Robert, Kaitlin, Brittany, Travis, Troy, Ryan, Brittany, Justin, Cody, Austin, Gabrielle, Kaitlyn, Krysta, Sara, Michael, Alexander, Andrew, Wyatt, Dillion, Savanna, Zoey, Caleb and Jonah; one great great grandson, Owen; a sister, Doris Voelker of OH; and a brother, Ronald Liller of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Roy Olen Hinkle, Sr., on April 8, 2015; a son, Richard Lynn Hinkle; son in law, Robert Hickey; and two brothers, Harold Liller and Jerry Liller. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakalnd on Tuesday, February 16th from 6 to 8 PM and at the Calvary Tabernacle, 27893 Garrett Hwy., Accident on Wednesday, February 17th from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Pascal Crites officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
