Nina Tichnell

Nina Marguerite "Margie" Tichnell, 71, of Kitzmiller died on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland. Born on March 18, 1941 in Beryl, WV, she was the daughter of the late Leafy Jane Bobo. Margie was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, and camping. She is survived by three sons, Daniel Tichnell and wife Marsha of Oakland, Rusty Tichnell and wife Jeannie of Kitzmiller, and Paul Tichnell and wife Kimberly of Vindex; six grandchildren, Angie Guthrie, D.D. Tichnell, Bubba Tichnell, Ashley Tichnell, P.J. Tichnell and Scott Tichnell; 2 great grandchildren, Lyla and Aiden Guthrie; and sisters-in-law, Clara Mae Paugh and Charlotte Bowman. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Tichnell, in 1998. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Monday, May 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 29th at 2 PM in the Elk Garden Assembly of God Church with the Rev. George Herman Tichnell and Rev. Joe Buck Tichnell officiating. Interment will follow in Tichnell Cemetery. According to Margie's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
