Nettie Alice (Gay) (McDonald) Lambert, 93 of Oakland, MD, formerly of Bayard, WV died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.
Born May 24, 1916 in Bayard, WV, she was the daughter of the late George William and Rosetta Florence (Holloway) Gay. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Mason McDonald, by her second husband Elbert E. Lambert; by three brothers, Wilbur "Bub" Gay, William "Bill" Gay, George "Copper" Gay; by three sisters, Sarah Sharp, Ann Knotts, Bertha Snyder; and by her sons-in-law James Reall and Richard Arnold.
Surviving are three daughters, Shelby Jean Duckett and husband Gerald of Terra Alta, WV and Leesburg, FL, Esther Sue Reall of Oakland, Geraldine "Gerry" Nasser and husband Louis of Westernport; one son, Carl Kevin McDonald of Bayard, WV; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandson.
The family would like to thank Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, especially the nurses & staff of East Wing for their excellent care they gave to their mother.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Saturday March 6, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm on Sunday March 7, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William McCallister officiating. Interment will be in Bayard Cemetery.
