Nancy Hoffman

Nancy Ann Hoffman, 84, of Oakland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home.  Born on December 1, 1933 in Gormania, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Leatha (Spitzer) Flanagan.  Nancy was a graduate of Bayard High School.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking big meals, canning and gardening.  She was also an avid reader.  Nancy loved spending time with her family.  Nancy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jasup Hoffman; a daughter, Kathy Dilgard and husband Vic of Oakland; two sons, Jay Hoffman of Jeanette, PA and Larry Hoffman and wife Tina of King George, VA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen and Linda Hoffman; a sister, Alice Sherman and two brothers, Harry and Mac Flanagan.  Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10-11 AM at which time a memorial service will be held with Pastor Dennis Leatherman officiating.  Interment will be held in the Pope Cemetery at a later date.  Nancy’s family would like to thank Hospice of Garrett County for the loving care and support shown to their family during the past few weeks.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.csfredlockfh.com.
