Nadiene E. (Green) Durst, 98, of Swanton, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2012. Born on August 9, 1914 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Fannie Green. She was a former member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren in Cumberland. She is survived by three sons, Craig Durst, Ivan Terry Durst, and William Durst; a daughter, Carolyn Green; grandchildren, Debbie Mazala, Lana Dessoffy, Steven Durst, Lester Evans, Darlene Taylor, Debbie Adler, Charles Durst, Kevin Durst, Terrence Durst, Jerry Durst, Larry Durst, Matthew Durst, Cindy Durst, John Cook, Summer Ford, Raven Paugh, Angela O'Brien and Helena Evans; 38 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester F. Durst in 1989; two sons, Melvin Durst and Charles Donnely Durst; a daughter, Delores Evans; a step grandson, Joseph O'Brien; and three brothers, Loaring Green, Francis Green and Calvin Green. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, September 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 25th at 10 AM with Rev. Carl Fike officiating. Interment will follow in Broadwater Cemetery, Dry Run Road, Swanton. Nadiene's family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Gupta and the staff at Golden Living Center for the excellent care they provided to her.
