Morris Brant

Morris E. Brant, 67, of Racine, WI and formerly of Swanton died on Thursday August 4, 2016, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center in Racine. Born on March 30, 1949 in Swanton, he was the son of the late John and Cecelia (Friend) Brant. Following graduation, Morris proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. He then relocated to Racine and was last employed with Bucyrus Erie. Morris will be dearly missed by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Barbara J. (Greer) Brant; a sister, Shirley Wilburn of Deep Creek Lake, MD; a brother, John Brant and wife Virginia of Deep River, CT; two sisters-in-law, Kristine Thiery of Racine, WI and Katie Montgomery and husband Bob of Madison, WI; special niece and nephew, Valerie and Jay; and additional nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle, Eva and Don Bowser; special niece, Tawnya; and his father-in-law, Jacob Greer. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, August 12th from 10 AM to 12 PM with a graveside service to follow in the Deep Creek Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Glenes E. Dumire officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the combined Honor Guard from the American Legion Post #71 of Oakland and the Deer Park VFW Post #10077.
