Mitchell Leon Cooper, 57, of Harman, WV went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2020 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born August 22, 1962 in Harman, WV, a son of the late Arthur “Merk” and Velma Cooper.
He is survived by five sisters, Beverly and Robert Eye, Norma Cooper and Harold Thompson, Jennifer and John Dodd, Rhonda Cooper and Herman Armentrout, Sherry Cooper and Denver Vance, all of Harman, WV two nieces, Tisha and Robbie Mallow, Harman, WV, Leslie and Jeff Bonner, Dryfork, WV, one nephew, Zeb Dodd, Harman, WV, six great-nephews, Sevren Heavner, Cade Mallow, Trevan Bonner, Braylon Heavner, Zayden Dodd, Ty Bonner, and three great-nieces, Jessie Heavner, Adalea Bonner, Mary Jane Dodd.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one special nephew, Brandon Heavner.
Mitch loved horseback riding, spending time with his family, riding his 4-wheeler, and side by side. He loved his nieces and nephews very much. He was a Presbyterian by faith. He was a good man who had many friends and he would do anything for anyone. He was loved by many, and missed forever.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, May 23, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home. Guidelines set forth by the CDC and State of West Virginia will be enforced. We kindly ask anyone in attendance to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Private funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 24, and interment will follow in the Judy Cemetery.
