Merlin Brooke Propst, 87, of Richlands, NC passed away April 23, 2017 at Heritage of Richlands. He was born in Tucker County, WV a son of the late Ernest Jennings and Loutie Hedrick Propst. He is survived by 2 brothers, Allen Smith and Lewis (Marie) Smith, 2 sisters, Bonnie (James) Good and Violet Charles, 1 son, Steven Michel, 1 daughter, Laura Schaeffer, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ernie Propst and Richard Propst.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Saturday, April 29 from 2-6 PM. Funeral services will be held, 1:00 PM, Sunday, April 30, at Flanagan Hill United Methodist Church with Rev.
