Melvin Clifford Stemple, 102, of Aurora, WV died September 6, 2017 at his home. He was born March 9, 1915 in Ruth Belle, WV a son of the late Earl Clifford Stemple and Dora Catherine Stemple. He was also preceded in death by 1 brother, William Stemple and 3 sisters, Margaret Case, Mildred Kovlak and Madeline Wotring. Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Dove F. Stemple, 1 son, Gary (Linda) Stemple of Aurora, WV and 1 brother, Donald Stemple of Bruceton Mills, WV.
Mr. Stemple retired as Postmaster at Aurora Post Office. He was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Aurora Mountain Lions Club.
At the request of the deceased his remains were cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced. Hinkle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
