Maxine Jamison

Maxine Helen Jamison, 84, of Oakland died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on January 1, 1930 in Bethlehem, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Virgil and Lida Jeanette (Moon) Harvey. She owned, with her husband, a school bus for 45 years and had worked in the cafeteria of the Loch Lynn School. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #71 in Oakland and the Deer Park VFW Post 10077. Maxine and Elwood square danced with the Mt. Top Promenaders for over 30 years and she bowled at the Par Matt Lanes for 40 years. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jamison and wife Sandy and Wayne Jamison; a daughter, Elaine Jamison; grandchildren, Scott Jamison and wife Angie, Eric Jamison, Anissa Frantz and husband Nathan, Patrica Jamison, Elisa Bernard and husband Randy, Lyle Michael Madigan and wife Kimberly, and Nicole Kiser and husband Braden; great grandchildren, Jared Jamison, Lyla Frantz, Connor Madigan, Mikaela Bernard, Brycen Bernard and Rylee Bernard; and a special niece, Dorothy Rzepka. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Jamison, in 2002; her sisters, Louise Harvey and Florence Harvey; and a brother, Clyde Virgil Harvey. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, January 9th from 4 to 6 PM and on Friday, January 10th from Noon to 1PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Ruth Harvey Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
