Maxine E. Elburn, 65, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born on January 12, 1954 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen E. Shillingburg. Maxine was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. Over the years she volunteered her time at school and held various jobs but most recently she was employed as a cook and retail sales clerk at Sheetz in Oakland. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family especially during holiday gatherings. She attended the House of Prayer. Maxine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert L. “Bob” Elburn, Sr.; a son, Robert L. “Rob” Elburn, Jr.; her siblings, Buck Lucas, Peg Davison, Gary Lucas and Marlene Fout, Joey Lucas and Lisa Davis; a niece, Maranda Hott and husband Jason; a nephew, Chris Fout and wife Amanda; and special great nieces, Kiaira and Gracie. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Bob Lucas, Sharon Newport and Kenny Lucas. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 11-1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
