Maude Doll Davis, 90 of Oakland, MD, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 12, 1921 in Walman, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Mary (Rummors) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband-Robert Scot Davis and sons-Edwin Junior Davis, John Scot Davis and Donald W. Davis..
Maude was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: six sons-Robert E., Davis, William H. Davis, Roy B. Davis and James F. Davis, all of Oakland, MD, Arthur E. Davis, Swanton and Garry A. Davis, Barton, MD; eight daughters-Mary Calcamp, Hellan Marley, Pattsy Myers, Susan Steyer, Mildred Rice, all of Oakland, MD, Nancy Broanham, Fredericksburg, VA., Geraldine Harding, August, WV and Joyce Livengood, Swanton; brother-Edwin Brown, Bayard, WV; thirty-three-grandchildren; fifty-two-great-grandchildren and eight-great great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St, Oakland, MD, Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Rexrode and Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
