Mason Stuart Proudfoot, 54, of Charleston, WV Covington Kentucky died on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Charleston, WV. Born on July 16, 1962, in Oakland, MD, he was preceded in death by his parents Robert E and Alice Marie (Arnett) Proudfoot, his partner, Bob Huenefeld and a brother Mark Proudfoot, He is survived by a sister, Marie Rublee and husband Dan of Harrisonburg, VA; two brothers, Mike Proudfoot and wife Mayliza of Hedgesville, WV and Milton Proudfoot of Oakland; a sister in law, Penny Proudfoot, and a number of nieces and nephews. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1986. He worked for 32 years in the field of Architectural design and planning. Mason loved his family, the outdoors and was an avid WVU sports fan. He was devoted to helping others, not only as a selfless caregiver to his partner Bob, but also as a fundraiser for various non-profit social service organizations.  He was particularly passionate and successful in raising funds for organizations devoted to assisting persons living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. He traveled extensively across the U.S. to organize fundraising events. With his energy and enthusiasm he was always able to generate volunteers and financial contributions.
