Mary Frances Sines, 78, of Wellington, went to be with our Lord on August 24, 2019. She was born on October 3, 1940 in Oakland MD, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Gyle and Floretta Mae (nee Phillippi) Davis. Mary moved to Wellington with her late husband Delano to make a home and raise a family in 1958.
Mary worked at Forest City Technologies and retired after 37 years. She was active in the Eleanor Roosevelt Women’s Democratic League for many years, and helped with the Senior News Letter. Mary enjoyed going to the senior luncheons with her friends. She would give rides to some of her friends who had no other way to go so they all could enjoy. Mary was an active member of the Penfield Community Church, she enjoyed gospel music and singing in church. Mary liked to read, work on puzzle books, and playing cards every week with friends. She enjoyed canning, baking, and cooking for friends and family. Most of all, Mary cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Marsha (Richard) Manning, Glena (Tom) Johnson, and Floyd (Jill) Sines; grandchildren Jacob and Nathan Davis, Don Manning, Colleen Green, HeatherJohnson-Nichols, Charlotta Lucarelli, Gyle Sines, and Bret Oldaker; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special niece Elaine Duncan Cash; sister at heart Nancy Werdebaugh; brother at heart, Gary Friend; longtime close friends Karen Frye and Mary Nichols; and very special friends John and Sandy Westfall; as well as the many dear friends she made throughout her life’s journey.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Delano A. Sines; brother, Charles Edward (Joann) Davis; sister Wilda Kathryn (Houston Edward) Duncan; and brothers-in-law Earl E. Sines, Charles Edward Sines, Donald Fint, and David Walker. Mary will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, from 4 to 8 at Penfield Community Church, 40775 St. Rt 18, Wellington, 44090. A short service will be held beginning at 7:30 p.m. A visitation will also be held from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, August 29, at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, MD and again on Friday at Pine Grove Church of the Brethren, 9752 Sang Run Rd., Oakland MD from 9 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Taylor-Sines Cemetery, Oakland MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to either, Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Ave, Cleveland, 44110, or the Lincoln St. Chapel 139 Lincoln St, Wellington, OH 44090, the Penfield Community Church, or Pine Grove church of the Brethren.
