Mary Blanche Miller, 75, of Parsons, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her residence. Born in West Virginia on January 17, 1944, she was the daughter of Nellie Brock and the late Teddy A. Spessert. Mary was a certified nursing assistant at Cuppett Weeks Nursing Home for over 20 years and continued her nursing work in home healthcare for more than 15 years. She was an active volunteer in her community shuttling folks around in her van. Mary enjoyed the thrill of bargain hunting at yard sales, flea markets and auctions. She was a collector of many things. She loved tending to her flower gardens, knitting and crocheting. Mary’s smile was contagious and she had a great sense of humor. In addition to her mother, Mary is survived by her son, Cecile L. Miller of Parsons; a grandson, Jacob Lookover of GA; her sisters, Phyllis Sigley, Nancy Brown, and Jo Ann Morgan; her brothers, Paul Brock, Teddy Spessert, Bud Spessert; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Mi Mi and Tater Tot. She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Miller and her brothers, Bob and Frank Spessert. Friends will be received at the Stemple Ridge Church, 2948 Stemple Ridge Road, Aurora on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 11-1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Anna Efaw officiating.
