Mary Catherine Lyons, 69 of Kitzmiller, MD died Friday July 15, 2011 at the Dennett Rd. Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD.
Born September 28, 1941 in Vindex, MD. She was the daughter of late Charles Broadwater and Edna (Carr) Broadwater. Catherine was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Lyons Sr..
She retired from the Garrett Co. Roads Department.
Surviving are sons Clarence A. Lyons Jr. and wife Diane of Woodbridge, VA; James Lyons and wife Joell, and their daughter Hilrey of Cumberland, MD; daughter, Kathy and husband Jim Armstrong, Kitzmiller, MD and daughters Kristina, Amanda, and Juanita. Three brothers Charles Broadwater, Reedsville WV; David and Delroy Broadwater, both of Reedsville, WV; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. in the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, MD. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev Matthew Paugh officiating.
At Cathy's request, she will be cremated.
