Mary Ruth Lane, 61 of Cumberland, MD, formerly of Garrett County, MD died Friday, December 25, 2009 at the Joseph D. Brandenburg Center in Cumberland, MD.
Born February 13, 1948 in Gorman, MD, she was the daughter of Gypsy (Brady) Lane of Grantsville, MD and the late James Glenn Lane. She was also preceded in death by her brother Welton Lane.
Mary loved listening to music. She will be greatly missed by her family and by her friends at the Brandenburg Center.
Surviving in addition to her mother are five brothers, James P. Lane of Omaha, Nebraska, Wesley B. Lane of Port Richey, FL, Glenn Lane of Chicago, IL, D F Lane of Marietta, GA, Kenneth Lane of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Julia A. Knox of Oakland, MD, Nancy K. Dove of Camden, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
Funeral services are 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeannie Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
