Mary Kope

Mary Jane (Feather) Kope, 84 of Aurora WV, passed away, January 1, 2011 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born April 26, 1926 in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Callis) Feather. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Elliott and son Charles Elliott, Jr.
Mary was a homemaker and a former Aide at the Loch Lynn School.
Surviving are: husband, Victor Kope, Oakland, MD; sons, James Elliott, Swanton, MD, Carl Elliott, Aurora, WV; stepsons, Glen Kope and Frank Kope, both of Terra Alta, WV;
daughter, Martha Reams, Deer Park, MD; step-daughter Delora Baker, Terra Alta, WV; brother, Tom Feather, Stowe, Ohio; sister, Alice Early, Oakland, MD; eight grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, eighteen step-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, MD, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Friend officiating.
Interment will be in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
