Mary Grabosky

Mary Lou Grabosky (Wise) currently of Oakland, MD, formerly from Fayetteville, WV went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 25th, 2024, after 10+ years battling Alzheimer's. She passed away very peacefully and was surrounded by her husband (Mike), her daughter (Laura) and son (Samuel).

She was a 1976 graduate of Fayetteville High School and a 1983 summa cum laude graduate from the Ohio State University along with internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. She worked for several years as a Registered Dietician for several nursing homes in WV. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her two sisters Elaine Rogers (Frank) and Carolyn Simms (Roger), numerous nieces and nephews and two cats Misty and Crunch.

In addition to be a loving wife and mother, she loved to sing in church choirs, bake cookies, drawing and painting. She also enjoyed playing golf with her friends at the Oakland Golf Club and other activities such as skiing and hiking.

She had a giving heart and loved to help others when she could. During her later stages she had several Guardian Angels looking after her who provided exceptional care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, if your heart leads you, please appreciate the caregivers (Guardian Angles) that affect you daily, your local hospice center or the Garret County Hospice located in Oakland, MD.

Mrs. Grabosky's request for cremation was honored. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 1 to 1:30 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM with Pastor Jeff Kroll officiating. For those who can not attend the service, a gathering will be held at Mary Lou's home at 416 Sam Snead Circle, Oakland, MD. immediately after.
