Mary Cooper

Mary Ruth Cooper, 90, of Harman, WV passed away February 17, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 17, 1926 in Harman, WV a daughter of the late Frank Lee and Phoebe Alice Sites Wymer. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, Klare Cooper, also preceding her in death, 5 sisters, Doris Janda, Leona Harman, Josephine White, Gae Cooper, and Jessie Cooper White, 1 brother, Frank “Buzz” Wymer, and 2 nephews, Don Cooper (surviving wife, Trudy Cooper) and Gary Harman. She is survived by 1 sister, Velma Cooper, Harman, WV, numerous nieces and nephews, Beverly (Robert) Eye, Harman, WV, Norma (Harold) Thompson, Harman, WV, Jennifer (J.D.) Dodd, Harman, WV, Rhonda Cooper and Herman Armentrout, Harman, WV, Sherry Cooper and Denver Vance, Harman, WV Mitch Cooper, Harman, WV, Barbara (Larry) Shifflett, Gallipolis, OH, Charlette (Tom) Vance, Harman, WV, Kent Cooper, Circleville, WV, Dwight (Janet) Cooper, Harman, WV, Van and Billie Wymer, Joplin, MD, Jack and Jeannie White, MD, Doug wymer, MD, Eugene Wymer, MD, and Janice Wymer, MD.
Mrs. Cooper worked for Cooper & Son Store, and Stockmans Bank as a bookkeeper. She attended the Harman Presbyterian Church. She was a member of O.E.S. Chapter #43, VFW Post 5781 Ladies Auxiliary of Harman. She enjoyed gardening, making pies and ginger cookies. She enjoyed spending time with family’s children, reading her Bible. She stayed busy and active to the end of her life.
Friends will be received, Monday, February 20, from 5-8 PM at Harman Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, February 21, at Harman Presbyterian Church with Rev. Grey Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
