Mary Bell

Mary Elizabeth Bell, 72, of Oakland, passed away on April 24, 2024, at her home. Born on December 12, 1951, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Howard H. and Corinne (Chandler) Bell.

Mary worked as a mental health therapist for the majority of her life. She received her bachelor's degree from WVU, and earned her master's degree from the University of Montana. A lover of all animals, she was heavily involved in the humane society and Hart. In her spare time, she enjoyed wind surfing, snow skiing, walking, hiking, reading and socializing with friends.

She is survived by one sister, Laurie Bell O'Rourke of Lihue, Hawaii; a niece, Amanda Elizabeth Bell; and a nephew, Anthony Blair Guardia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Chandler Bell.

Ms. Bell's request for cremation was honored and there are no services scheduled at this time.
